May 16-22: National Safe Boating Awareness Week: See our safe boating video tips album on Facebook!
May 22 Harbour House Grill Reopens: Open for take-out food and alcohol with a minimum food order of $14.99. Watch for details on favourite specials, new menu items, live entertainment, and private party options. And follow on Facebook for updates.
May 25: Lefroy Harbour Resorts 2020 Photo Contest officially begins! Boating is about family, friends and special memories made on and off the water, and so is Lefroy Harbour Resorts! Keep your camera handy so you can capture and send your special memories to our photo contest at firstname.lastname@example.org. Periodic early-bird random draws throughout the summer will be made from those who have submitted photos to date, with winners receiving a $25 gift certificate for Harbour House Grill! The contest begins May 16 and ends September 30.
June 12-14: Spring Boat, Cottage & Outdoor Show, Port of Orillia: Great in-water selection of new and pre-owned private and dealer boats, cottage and outdoor product displays, marine safety demonstrations, and more! Port of Orillia and waterfront parks, Centennial Drive, Lake Couchiching, Orillia, ON.
June 19-21: Harbour House Grill Celebrates Dad: Highlights for Father's Day celebrations include lobster tail specials, and the popular all-you-can-eat hot and cold brunch buffet (Sunday, 9am-2pm). Reserve your spot at 705-456-3663.
June 20: Family Fun & Safety Day: A variety of fun and educational booths and activities for the whole family! Watch bulletin boards for details, and bring your expired marine flares to the Barrie Power & Sail Squadron booth for safe disposal. If your flares have expired, you cannot light them, or throw them in the water, or dispose of them in household garbage.
June TBD: Lefroy Harbour Golf Classic - This fun day on the greens includes 18 holes of golf (with cart), lunch, a steak dinner reception, and a classic memento. At the Innisbrook Golf Course. In Support of Mully Children’s Family (MCF) homes in Kenya, along with youth and children's programs supported through Mapleview Community Church.
June 20-22: Christmas in June, Port of Orillia: Large boater rendezvous and fabulous decorated boat contest, free to viewing public. Port of Orillia, Lake Couchiching, Orillia, ON.
Canada Day Celebration: Please join us for fireworks on the Lefroy beach at dusk, weather permitting! (Rain date is Sunday; and please remember that no private fireworks are permitted onsite at either Lefroy or Kon Tiki. Details TBC))

June 2016 - Government of Canada Invests Nearly $270 Million to Improve the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site – An historic federal infrastructure investment of nearly $270 million will restore and improve the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site. As part of Budget 2016, the Government of Canada also announced free lockage for boaters in 2017. Learn more...
December 1, 2015 – While attending the Boating Ontario conference in Huntsville, Lefroy Harbour Resorts was honoured to be awarded Clean Marine PLATINUM status, recognizing us as Ontario’s Leader in Environmental Sustainability Practices! “5 Anchor Platinum” is the highest achievement level of the program, now celebrating its 20th anniversary, so a HUGE SHOUTOUT to our exceptional group of boaters who helped us obtain this designation!!!
October 30, 2015 – Congratulations to the winners of our 2015 Lefroy Harbour Resorts Photo Contest! Our 1st Place Winning Image, submitted by Asim Ozses, cleverly captures the boating lifestyle well, incorporating fun times rafting and boating with pets. Our 2nd Place Winning Image, submitted by Jessica Tulk, uses a creative overhead angle to catch a compelling image of an eager young kayaker. Our 3rd Place Winning Image, submitted by Martina Krejci, depicts the peaceful nature of the on-water experience, with a strong sunset image of a brilliantly coloured sail.
July 21, 2015 – Big Chief News – Parks Canada installed six white buoys Tuesday to mark a laneway in the horseshoe-shaped bay off Big Chief Island at the request of Orillia OPP. The laneway is to be kept clear for the boating public and emergency services to enter and exit the bay. Learn more...
June 17, 2015 – Innisfil Ignites the Pan Am Spirit – Pan Am Games Torch Relay torchbearer Rod Boynton brings the Pan Am flame to the Town of Innisfil from Lake Simcoe aboard a Ranger Tug.
June 4, 2015 – Lefroy Harbour Golf Classic Raises $20,000 for Mully Children’s Family – Representing the humanitarian organization that rescues and cares for abandoned and abused children, MCF founder Dr. Charles Mulli and his wife Esther were on hand to meet and thank golfers. The couple has witnessed firsthand the transformation of more 10,000 street kids in Kenya.
