January 20-29 – Toronto International Boat Show: Join us for a mid-winter rendezvous! Drop by booth G-501 and 1151. Tour the new Ranger Tugs! Congratulations to Darlene Halbot, Cynthia Zielonko Pacheco and Andrea LeBlanc Blake, who participated in our Ticket Tuesday contest on Facebook, with each winning a pair of tickets to the 2017 Toronto Boat Show!
February 16-20 – Miami International Boat Show
February 18 – Lefroy Family Winter Golf Classic: Tee off for a round of golf (starting at 10am); skate on an outdoor rink and participate in other winter activities, weather permitting; roast marshmallows on an open fire; enjoy a complimentary outdoor barbecue with hot and cold refreshments (at noon); and reconnect with boating neighbours!

April 29 – Sailboat Launch, weather permitting: Please note that your SAILBOAT LAUNCH & MAST STEPPING confirmation form must be completed and submitted before April 28.
May 20 – Spring Meet & Greet, 6 to 10pm:
Reconnect with old boater friends and welcome new Lefroy and Kon Tiki boaters aboard! The theme for this year's season opener is "Start Your Engines!" Fun for all ages, with remote-control car racing, tire-changing competitions and race-car bouncy castle. Come dressed as your favourite race car driver or red neck to win a prize. Plus, You can book in advance (contact Linda) a complimentary Boat Safety Equipment Check by Power Squadron, and bring your expired marine flares to the Barrie Power & Sail Squadron booth for safe disposal. July 1 – Canada Day 150 Celebration: Festivities on Saturday, July 1, 11am-3pm, include a Canada Day parade, games, a charity barbecue and entertainment! Weather-permitting, we'll top off the celebration with evening fireworks on the beach at dusk! A reminder that personal fireworks are not permitted at either Lefroy or Kon Tiki.

September 9 – Fall Fair Event: Let's wrap up the season in style at our annual Fall Fair! Due to the popularity of this event, the Fall Fair is limited to Lefroy Harbour/Kon Tiki marina members. Once again, in support of the local Food Bank, our Cruising for Cans program will collect non-perishable goods in a small boat located outside of the main office. (In 2016, the generosity of our staff and boaters sent 293 pounds of food to those in need.)

October 30, 2015 – Congratulations to the winners of our 2015 Lefroy Harbour Resorts Photo Contest! Our 1st Place Winning Image, submitted by Asim Ozses, cleverly captures the boating lifestyle well, incorporating fun times rafting and boating with pets. Our 2nd Place Winning Image, submitted by Jessica Tulk, uses a creative overhead angle to catch a compelling image of an eager young kayaker. Our 3rd Place Winning Image, submitted by Martina Krejci, depicts the peaceful nature of the on-water experience, with a strong sunset image of a brilliantly coloured sail.

July 21, 2015 – Big Chief News – Parks Canada installed six white buoys Tuesday to mark a laneway in the horseshoe-shaped bay off Big Chief Island at the request of Orillia OPP. The laneway is to be kept clear for the boating public and emergency services to enter and exit the bay. Learn more...

June 4, 2015 – Lefroy Harbour Golf Classic Raises $20,000 for Mully Children’s Family – Representing the humanitarian organization that rescues and cares for abandoned and abused children, MCF founder Dr. Charles Mulli and his wife Esther were on hand to meet and thank golfers. The couple has witnessed firsthand the transformation of more 10,000 street kids in Kenya.
